As a Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety and compliance within the built environment. Your expertise will contribute to innovative solutions that protect lives, property, and reputations across diverse industries. This position is integral to our Fire & Building Safety team, where you will collaborate with industry leaders to address complex safety challenges.

Responsibilities

<ul>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">To maintain a high level of professional awareness of technical matters in the fire industry, assimilate and synthesise developing technical issues and provide updates and briefings as required.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Guiding our fire engineering professionals, along with advising and delivering complex solutions to large construction engineering projects within leading consultancies.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Taking control of current and future projects and ensuring that financial targets of the team are met and exceeded, develop existing relationships with key clients and deliver fire safety engineering solutions</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Drive behind the delivery of technical excellence, team engagement, and the go-to in developing their key clients in this discipline.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Be the expert to our clients and that all important first point of call.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead discussion with design team, building control and fire service.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Attend industry conferences to network and embrace industry trends and best practices</li>

Requirements and Qualifications

To set you up for success in this role from day one (at a minimum) the following qualifications/experience are required:

<ul>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A background in fire engineering preferably within a consultancy environment.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A bachelor’s degree or higher within Fire Engineering or similar, such as Mechanical Engineering.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards.</li>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The ability to undertake works independently, demonstrating initiative and management skills.</s
