English-workable = the listing itself confirms English is enough (posting language, an explicit English-first line, or no other language required). Roles that state nothing are NOT counted as English-workable : the true number can only be higher than shown. That is the point : floors, not hype. The per-city figures refresh from a nightly snapshot ; the headline numbers above are live.
One honest caveat : coverage differs by city. Berlin includes the full federal job-agency feed ; the other cities mostly reflect the company career boards we track, which skew international. Each share describes what we track there, not that city's entire market : so do not read Munich's high share against Berlin's low one as a market comparison.
Where these numbers come from
The German federal job agency feed plus a few hundred company career boards (Greenhouse, Personio, Ashby, Lever and friends), every one verified by hand before we ingest it. Deduplicated across sources.
The bank re-checks itself around the clock : new roles drip in all day, links are health-checked, and a listing that 404s is marked dead instead of being shown to you as an opportunity.
Every percentage is computed only from listings where we KNOW the answer. Unknown posting date? Not counted as stale. Language not stated? Not counted as English-workable. The real numbers can only be worse for the boards and better for you.
Most listings state no language requirement at all : we show that gap as its own number instead of guessing it away. When we cannot verify something, we say so. That is the whole product.
